Vishnu

Vishnu is considered one of the most important gods in Hinduism, as part of the trimurti, (along with Brahma and Shiva). He is the Preserver and guardian, and protects the order of things. He appears on earth in various incarnations (avatars) to maintain cosmic harmony. He is shown with a human body with blue skin and four arms. His hands carry the conch, the chakra or discus, the lotus flower and the mace.
